IUCLID Version 6.6.27.2 updates: Users need to know about a new version!!

IUCLID is the essential tool for any organisation or individual that needs to record, store, submit, and exchange data on chemical substances within regulatory frameworks, such as HPV, EU Biocides, and REACH in the format of the OECD harmonised templates.

Generally, IUCLID is updated four times in a year. The October 2022 release of IUCLID brings a series of fixes and improvements.

The latest ‘service installation’ was announced on 31st October 2022. The improved ‘updater tool’ released on 10th November 2022, and the improved ‘data uploader version 1.1’ released on 28th November 2022 (compatible with KNIME v4.6).

Aspects of IUCLID Version 6.6.27.2 updates

  • Datasets are now imported as dossiers by default.
  • As a result of this, the newly introduced ‘Extract to dataset’ option provides a greater level of control than importing datasets directly.
  • The navigation tree has been refactored to enable easier access to mixture datasets.
  • Cross-references between documents are simplified by displaying the linked documents based on their table of contents.
  • Firefox browser scrolls document to top when editing a table with many entries.
  • Newly inclusion of Category information in the Chemical Safety Report.
  • Reports on List of attachments, GHS classification and labelling, and substance composition have been upgraded.

  • The following EFSA-based templates have been updated:
  • NoS Extraction Request
  • MRL Application Report

✓ REACH Business rules, Sets the quality rules, reminder for third party set in 1.1 identification.

✓ EU_PPP – Set of quality rules of endpoint summaries and checking results (in Biodegradation in soil, short term toxicity to Fish, acute oral toxicity, repeated oral dose toxicity, genetic toxicity), dossier header, business rule for removing duplicate datasets.

✓ BPR – Set of rules for checking summary of product characteristics, technical equivalence.
